That said, I bought this bass guitar based on the many reviews I read on Amazon as well as other sites. To be quite frank, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this item, but was presently surprised at the appearance and quality when I opened the package. Read more By This review is from: Yamaha RBX170 Bass Old Violin Sunburst I have played guitar for many years, but when I wanted a bass guitar I was a little weary of buying some imitation brand or poor quality model given the small budget I had. When I read that this is as cheap as Yamaha gets and that they wouldn't compromise their solid reputation by making a throw-away, I sensed this was the one. It met my budget at the same time as being ideal for my beginner's status; it is lightweight and slim with a fret-board worthy of Goldilock's refined tastes: not too wide, not too narrow. The machine heads have a nice feel for easy and accurate tuning and the shape of the body fits snuggly into your lap. A treat for the modest beginner. |
