The Dean ML Metalman is designed to look right onstage in a metal band, and it has a single massive Dean humbucker stuck next to the bridge to make it sound right. Gets an edgy, growly tone with lots of hair. Case not included.

This review is from: Dean Hillsboro Jazz Electric Bass, Transparent Black (Electronics)
The sound in this bass is perfect. the strings it comes with it has a great durability and you will not have to worry about getting new ones in a long time. This bass beats the fender's jazz bases by the sound it gives to you and to the audience and this will give you a better impression by the design and confterablilty you'll get when you are playing it. The exception of all the great things in this bass is where you insert the amp cable. It is very easy to break it and you'll have to repair several times if you are not careful with it but when it is delivered to you'll be amazed as I did when i first got it and started playing and you will not regret paying for those $300. The color is just beautiful and specially with the white design on top of the body.

This is a super little guitar, it has a few issues or I would have rated it 5 stars . It has a tendency to buzz a little playing the E string but I think that is because of the scale and that trying to raise the string would make it difficult to play but I haven't done it so that is just a guess. I would say that this is a 1/4 scale bass based on the neck length of my other 3 bass guitars but again that is an estimate or my best guess. I liked it so well I got a second one. On the first one the pickup cover came unglued from the coil. But that wasn't too hard to fix. At the price it's well worth the money. It has an adjustable truss rod, metal knobs for the volume and pitch adjustments. The material and workmanship that when into the guitar are good. Like any inexpensive guitar with an adjustable bridge the intonation could use a set up. I am very happy with this guitar and I have seen a number of child size bass guitars for more money that were not as good as this one. This is a... Read more

It's OK, not great, but not a children's "toy" either. For just a little bit of effort in finish work or rejecting and reworking it could be really good as a traveler or just ultra-short scaled <30.5 inches. I haven't seen many 25.5 inch Scaled Basses around. Additionally, not at this price. If you want to put the extra work into it, ----it could be worth it with this unit. It bothers me the little "patch" at the nut----see my video review at:
[...] Well, they remove the URL for some reason. Nonetheless, search [Mini Bass Guitar, 25.5 inch Scale sold by EDMBG] on YouTube, or add [watch?v=exGzVAYKP8o] The exact title is [MINI BASS GUITAR, Sold by EDMBG, Sold on Amazon----"Childrens 36 inches"]
As well the Fretboard Fret insertion chipping up and left there----not a great thing to see right out of the box. Again, in the Video review.
Someone really picky may rate it two stars----but I think that's "unreasonable" since, if one wanted to give it a good... Read more
